Colonel Haji Mohamad Huzaimi bin Pehin Datu Harimaupadang Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Husin joined the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) in 03 February 1992 and was later commissioned in 1994 after completing Initial Officer Training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) in the United Kingdom. Upon his returned, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant.

Throughout his service, he held various appointments including Platoon Commander, Officer Commanding Rifle Company, Officer Commanding Engineer Squadron, Staff Officer Grade 2 (SO2) G1 RBLF, SO2 J3 Land and SO1 J2 at the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) and SO1 Admin at the Directorate of Personnel Ministry of Defence. He also attended numerous courses such as the 6th Combat Intelligent Officers Course at the School of Military Intelligence (SMI) in Singapore, Platoon Commander Battle Course (PCBC) at the School of Infantry, Warminster, United Kingdom, Royal Engineer Troop Commanders Course (RETCC) at the Royal School Of Military Engineer (RSME) Chattenden Barracks, Kent, All Arms Watermanship Safety Officer Course, Demolitions Safety Officer Examination and Unit Search Advisor Course at the RSME, Company Commander Course and Grade 2 Staff and Tactics Course in Pulada Johor and Chemical Biological Radiological Explosive (CBRE) Training Manager Course in Singapore.

In 2002, Colonel Haji Mohamad Huzaimi bin Pehin Datu Harimaupadang Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Husin, P.S.B, P.P, psc was awarded Darjah Setia Negara Brunei (P.S.B.) Yang Amat Bahagia Darjah Keempat from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Medal of the National Hero, Pingat Pahlawan Periwara (P.P) in 28 April 2018.

In 2011, Colonel Haji Mohamad Huzaimi bin Pehin Datu Harimaupadang Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Husin undergone his Staff training at the Royal Thai Army Command and Staff.

Prior to taking up his his post as Head of Inspectorate Cell at Royal Brunei Land Force Headquarter in 2015, in 2014, He led the 11th batch of International Monitoring Team (IMT) mission in Cotabato Mindanao, Republic of Philippines. Upon finishing his monitoring mission, he was awarded the Bronze Cross Medal (BCM) and Military Merit Medal (MMM) by the Government of Philippines. Straight after his monitoring mission he attended the Executive Development Programme (EDP) at the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, Ministry of Defence in collaboration with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He also attended the Asia Pacific Programme for Senior Military Officers at the S.Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2018.

In 2018, Colonel Haji Mohamad Huzaimi bin Pehin Datu Harimaupadang Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Husin was appointed as Head of Joint Doctrine and Warfare Centre up until now as his current post.

Colonel Haji Mohamad Huzaimi bin Pehin Datu Harimaupadang Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Husin blessed with two sons. During his free time, he loves playing polo and traveling.
