FRIDAY, 20 DECEMBER 2019 - An Information Operations Workshop, co-hosted by the Joint Force Headquarters and the Australian Defense Force (ADF), concluded today  at the Lecture Room of the Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Present as the Guest of Honour during the closing ceremony was Lieutenant Colonel (U) Haji Mohd Albadii Shahnoel bin Haji Mohd Noeh. 

The 5-day workshop, conducted from 16 to 20 December 2019, was the first of its kind to be conducted in Brunei Darussalam. Participants of the workshop consisted of RBAF personnel from different units as well as officers from other government agencies and ministries including the Prime Minister’s Office, Royal Brunei Police Force, Brunei Research Department and the Internal Security Department. Overall, a total of 23 participants partook in the workshop.

The workshop was facilitated by instructors from the ADF and US Indo-Pacific Command. Among the contents of the workshop were overviews of Standard Operating Procedures from various countries, importance of Information Operations to each stakeholder and practical exercises to allow participants to relate to their daily as well as prepare for future operations.
