OPENING CEREMONY OF THE OPERATIONAL MILITARY APPRECIATION (OMAP) WORKSHOP
TANAH JAMBU, MONDAY, 09 MARCH 2020 – The Joint Doctrine & Warfare Centre, Joint Force Headquarters with support from the Australian Defence Force is currently organising an OMAP workshop from 09 to 20 March 2020. 

The opening ceremony of the OMAP workshop was officiated by Colonel Haji Mohamad Huzaimi bin Pehin Datu Harimaupadang Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Husin, Head of Joint Doctrine & Warfare Centre as the Guest of Honour. Also present at the ceremony were senior officers and special guests. 

In his welcoming remarks, Colonel Haji Mohamad Huzaimi emphasised the importance of adopting a Whole-of-Nation approach by developing continuous inter-government interaction and cooperation. He further highlighted the significance of the workshop as it provides a unique opportunity for the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and other government departments to share, explore and discuss concepts as well as best practices in supporting and developing a holistic and robust operational plan. 

This OMAP workshop is the second of its kind to be held in Brunei Darussalam. The first workshop was conducted from 28th January until 1st February 2019. The objectives of this workshop is to give exposure and familiarise participants with the processes in OMAP, to enable participants to do sound operational planning as well as to enable participants to deliver IPB and OMAP briefs. 

Overall, a total of 25 RBAF personnel and 27 participants from 14 other government departments are participating in the workshop.
